I've always wanted to paint, and at the beginning of the pandemic, I bought some supplies and started on my own. Since then, I have developed a passion for painting. I have worked exclusively with watercolor and gouache. I have painted things, primarily from my surroundings, both during the initial phases of the pandemic when I was out of New York City and since my return to the office. During the fall, I tried to expand my repertoire into other types of scenes as I explored my creative side and pushed myself to make larger pieces with different color palates and subjects.
Ironically, I feel as if the painting has helped to further along my cosmetic sensibility. I'm seeing lights and shadows and forms from a new perspective. This has changed the way I approach things such as filler and rhinoplasty significantly. It has helped me to further understand the sculptural aspects of the procedures and that is reflected in the work I've been doing for the last 6 to 9 months. Since there is only a limited amount of office space and walls within the office that can be used to hang my works, I have decided to sell paintings online for a charitable cause.
The paintings are 16x11 or 22 x 30 or 29 x 41 for larger items, and will be priced at around $50-$100.
This year, we are happy to announce that we will split proceeds equally between Arts for All (https://www.arts-for-all.org/) and the Actors Fund (https://entertainmentcommunity.org/). I hope that you can enjoy these original works of art and support a great cause!
