Full Case Details:
This patient had previously tried fillers and had partial improvement, due to the degree of lower eyelid puffiness. She elected to have a surgical procedure and have her fillers dissolved. Due to the high level of following, a fat transposition blepharoplasty was performed, in which the puffy eyelid fat is trimmed, but then repositioned into the upper cheek, filling in the hollow, also known as the nasojugal fold. Skin and muscle tightening were also performed, giving a smooth lid to cheek transition. Fat excision techniques alone would produce a smoother, but hollow lower eyelid appearance. That is why transposition was done in this case.
