Deep plane facelifts are different from traditional SMAS facelifts, in that they lift deeper tissues and suspend them to the cheek bones. This provides 2 key advantages for patients: 1) Permanent volume addition to the cheek bone that can be equivalent of 3-4 filler syringes and 2) more pronounced and longer lasting correction of jawline and jowls.
